Mark T. Reding, M.D. is the director of the Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders and an assistant professor in the Division of Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation at the University of Minnesota. He received his M.D. from the University of Minnesota Medical School. He also completed residency training in internal medicine and subspecialty training in hematology/oncology at the University of Minnesota. He is board certified in both hematology and medical oncology.
Dr. Reding’s clinical interests are in the treatment of malignant and nonmalignant hematologic diseases, with particular emphasis on disorders of thrombosis and hemostasis, including hemophilia. His current research efforts focus on the immune response to factor VIII, the cellular mechanisms involved in the synthesis of factor VIII inhibitors, and the immunologic consequences of gene therapy.
