Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders

As of January 1, 2008, we are officailly changing our name from the Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center to the Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders.

This change is driven by a desire to make our services more accessible and understandable to the general public, as well as being a more accurate reflection of what we do.

about our staff

The Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, offers a wide range of services for patients with inherited bleeding and clotting disorders. Hematologists and nurse clinicians are involved and provide services including diagnostic evaluations, treatment, education, research and care coordination. Also, a full-time social worker provides psychosocial assessment, counseling and resource information.

Patients at the center may also interact with medical professionals from a number of disciplines including physical therapy, genetics, dentistry, infectious disease, orthopedics, primary care and others.
