*Cancer Care
The Breast Center assures you the latest therapies and treatments for breast cancer, including access to innovative clinical trials. This is because our physicians are also members of Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota, a national leader in cancer research and the only National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area – one of only 39 U.S. institutions to hold this designation.*Clinical Trials
A clinical trial is a study conducted with cancer patients, usually to evaluate a new treatment. Examples of studies include the use of allogeneic natural killer cells in patients with advanced metastatic breast cancer, and the use of zoledronic acid injections in patients with documented bone metastases from breast cancer. As a Breast Center patient, you may have opportunities to participate in similar cutting-edge clinical trials. More information regarding available clinical trials can be found at the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota.
Advances in research along with annual screening mammograms, new medications and treatments have turned countless breast cancer diagnoses into positive outcomes. We are committed to furthering this trend. Your care team of a primary care physician, surgeon, radiologist, pathologist, medical oncologist, nurses, social workers, and other health care professionals will work with you to determine a treatment plan designed for you. This approach gives you the best care for both your physical and emotional well-being.
